Zip Console

I wanted the ZIP console to be a true minimalist sculpture, where material and form interact with quiet precision. The lines are clean, rigorous, and reduced to their essence, nothing is superfluous; every metal sheet and every angle serves the overall balance.

The polished metal acts as a subtle mirror, capturing and reflecting light in shifting, delicate fragments that evolve with the viewpoint and surroundings. More than simply reflective, the surface absorbs the space around it, integrating the wall, floor, and shadows into the composition.

The structure is based on an almost architectural geometry. The vertical supports, formed from precisely folded and subtly serrated metal sheets, convey sculptural stability while maintaining a sense of lightness. The tabletop appears to float, supported by this construction that is both solid and airy.

In its radical simplicity, the console reveals the beauty of raw material. Stripped of ornament, the metal fully expresses its presence, cool, luminous, timeless. The piece becomes a refined work of art, where minimalism is not an absence, but a concentration of form, light, and space.
